Kari Gim Kari Gim's abstract artwork involves the exploration of colors and textures. "I enjoy the process of seeing the interaction of one application of color melded with an entirely different application of another color. My time in the studio usually starts with, 'What if...'"

There is no underlying story to any particular work; rather, the viewer is encouraged to interpret the dialogue between colors, between textures, and between colors and textures.

This series represents Gim's art in small signatures, or "chops." In China, the "chop" or seal has the same weight and authority as a signature does in Western culture. There is no limit to the number of pieces in an installation, and the arrangement is a blank canvas for the collector to enjoy piecing together.
